"The snotgreen sea. The scrotumtightening sea." James Joyce: Ulysses

Just a quick post, another news report, that I don't know too much about. However...NASA discovered a salty sea had once existed on Mars (last Tuesday). "The Mars rover Opportunity found rocks with a layering pattern, signs that they were formed in standing water. The rocks, found near the rover's landing site, also contained chlorine and bromine, further evidence that water covered the surface when the rocks were formed, scientists with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) said." (this is from the Borneo Bulletin.) Here's a nice long article...with artist's renderings of a watery Mars click me!. Isn't it strange that we made up these aliens and called them "Martians" and now there may be evidence of life on Mars? I mean why not have said the "Venutians"? Why pick Mars? Venus is closer and easier to see in the night sky. Why not just say "sniglet"*?

Okay new poll coming up!
Have a great day everyone!
Oh a note! The "view results" are hard to see on the bottom of the poll but it's on the lower right hand side, before the dark green border starts...(where it is all the time).

*Sniglet means: Any word coined for something that has no specific name. Sniglets are known as words that don't appear in the dictionary but should.

Me.
