Trojans

Just a quick ramble...
I refuse to watch American Idol tonight. Besides there's a really good show about people trying to live through colonial times on PBS. It's called Colonial House. Rich and I watched the other two incarnations called 1800 House and Frontier House. They're all rather jolly good. So no more A.I. Vote for whomever you please, it no longer fascinates me. I am on to bigger and better things.

Saw "Troy" today. If all you're going for is Brad Pitt then you wont be disappointed. There are plenty of shots of his nekked body, glistening and rosy, preparing for or in the act of... you know what? Pitt's really losing his sparkle for me. He's still very manly and worth deeming handsome, but all the same, I just don't feel the tingle any more. I guess why fantasize when you got the real thing at home? Only problem is mine isn't as golden tan... And beside Pitt and Bana and even Sean Bean, poor ole Legolas (Orlando Bloom) looks a bit frail and skinny. He doesn't look good with his real hair. Much better with golden, straight locks than curly brown hair.

About the movie... I disliked the fact that they did not follow the book. It's a slanted view, towards the Trojans, hence the title of the movie... Other than that it was fine, decent. 3 stars. (out of 4).

Read Homer's Iliad it's much better... if you have a good imagination.
