Well, so I stopped my Literati and have moved downward, towards... yes? Graffiti. Oh gosh, i'm obsessed, but I really dislike everyone who plays it. I want to draw all day long and have everyone guess what I drew and nothing else. Some people actually get so aggravated when you don't guess the right word that they'll start drawing such terrible things... funny, but terrible. Oooh it's so good. But a few more games and I know i'll be bored with it. Just like everything else.
Wasn't it a nice day today? I hope my bro got some kind of medal.

Hey did you guys hear this bit of news....
Who got voted out of A.I. this week? Jennifer Hudson. But why was she unable to get enough votes to stay in? Because in Chicago, where she's from, they experienced a tornado and it fouled up their telephone lines. Even her mom couldn't vote for her... ooh, better luck next time in the windy city.
Also I was watching the science channel the other week and one scientist actually claimed that t-rex might have had feathers!! Isn't that cooky. Those little stubby arms of theirs' might have been feathered. haha.
One last thing, remember back in the day, how you'd listen to the radio and record songs off of it and you'd have a mix cassette of songs? (yes, i do 'cause i used to do it) well there's a little bit of software that does a similar job off of streaming radio or music on the web, and turns it into mp3's. Crazy. I remember, as a kid I had to read words off of a book without any help from mechanical things, i'm so envious of those kids with the leap frog gear.
One one last thing... haha. i saw that chris rock comedy special on hbo the other day and the bits on relationships were funny as heck, oh i was crying in the chair laughing so hard. okay gotta run and all...
Oh and one more thing... speaking of being uber Hawaiian, i just downloaded two songs from the Lilo and Stitch soundtrack. "Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride" and some other one in Hawaiian, that i'm too lazy to look up, even though it's right on my computer. they're both really good! i love it. haha shake a shakah.

The Truth Is In The Puddin'
Speaking of Survivor last night...
It's funny that during the quiz/questions game the majority of the voters voted that Alicia thought she was smarter than she really was, and also who did the voters say didn't belong on the All-Stars game? yup Alicia. haha. Then the ever brilliant Alicia goes and dissuades any kind of deal with Shii-Ann, who won immunity. A. says, "i don't even want to bring this up, we already have a plan"... sorry Shii-Ann but you're not part of it. It's because she thinks she's smart but really isn't! ahaha and then she gets voted off, much to her surprise... ahaha because no one else thought she belonged in the game. Once everyone heard that, she was done for. But of course she had a fit when she heard all of that. Silly, it was just the majority, meaning it was possible that two people had written her name and everyone else wrote another person's name. I, personally don't think Amber belongs there. I remember her being a leech off of Jerri, not really doing a thing, therefore I don't think she was a "star" of the show. Well she's playing a really good game now, leeching off Rob. One last thing, Rupert, voted as the "honest" person, did not get a hit last night and won the game. What does that tell ya? Okay gotta run.
There was something I wanted to add but I-uh forget. Have a good day y'all. Ooh I overslept. It's raining and dark. P.S. Someone's got a coveted gmail address. can y'all guess who? Oh I just remembered!! I saw the votes on the mini poll, damn you no comments! And everyone voted for other! Other?? I voted other...damn i wish I knew.

Pass the Peppah
I first saw Kill Bill Vol. 1 in the theaters, then the other weekend I rented it for two reasons: first, to refresh our memories and get ready for the second movie, and second, because Mike's never seen it, and being here he could and did. I ended up seeing it a total of three times. This is a rare occurrence for me because I hardly will see a movie a second time, let alone a third time, (twice in a row). This is great advertisement for the first vol. It's a great movie, it had a lot of different cinematography techniques, it was funny, it had a lot of action, it was interesting, story wise and you never knew what was going to happen next. Now we saw Kill Bill Vol 2 and were expecting something awesome and jaw-dropping, like the first but better, because of what the critics were giving it and saying about it. Ya know what? We were both disappointed, not because it was a bad movie, it was good, but not at all like the first. "This one lacks the flavah, the spice". The first one was experimental and mood setting and twisted, this one had no curves. Go see it anyway because it's good. I give it 3 1/2 stars, (the first one was 4 stars.) Don't let my views on it skew your viewing pleasure.
By the way, watching previews before the movie, there's one coming up called "Hero". It stars Jet Li and is a Tarantino flick and is produced by the makers of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (another movie I could watch over and over again). Looks good, hope it is. And one movie I can't wait for is Troy, der. Come on. It's got Brad Pitt playing Achilles, the star and darling of the Illiad (a book I've had to read over and over, but luckily by different translators), and shrimpy, wimpy Paris played by Orlando Bloom, you may know him as Legolas in the Lord of the Rings movies (ooh), I think it's a perfect match because Paris is supposed to be handsome, but also more prone to playing his lyre than handling a sword, (but what shephard needs a sword?) I think Eric Bana of Hulk fame is playing Paris' brother, Hektor (Hector). Oh I can't wait. I hope it's good, not just action. Nothing can ever compare to the book though. Oh kay gotta run.
P.S. thanks for the Pics Julie!
P.P.S. will make up the poll later today, and will make up for all your missed word of the day, i know ya missed them. heh

Oh My Aching Feet
Well not really. In actuality my legs were more sore riding our bikes around than walking Boston. Just to add one more thing to the biking soreness, there's a region that the bike seat hits, um... i guess it would be my pelvis bone, probably the ishium region, that hurts like a mofo after biking. It isn't my butt, cause that's got some cushion... anyway!
So Mike came up to Boston to check out Emerson College and I started out my journey by picking him up at South Station, similar to Grand Central but not quite so grand, nor central. But don't get me wrong, it's still big enough to hold a separate building for Greyhound buses, Amtrak and commuter trains, and the subway. It lacked grand central's many levels and the intricate maze of shops and subfloors, beauty and jaw dropping size. But I still had to hustle around to find Mike. After doing so we hopped on the red line to the green line to the Boylston street stop which lands us right in front of Emerson's Ansin Building. After that we walked around, looking at the many buildings that made up the college, then we headed over to Boston Common, which is similar to Central Park, but not quite grand, nor central. We walked around looking at the swan boats of the Public Gardens, then headed out to eat. After that we walked over toward Beacon Hill (pic below) where there was an awesome amount of people wandering around, singing (college acappella), meditating (for world strife), hanging signs (food not bombs) and just enjoying the day in general. We then hitched a ride on the red line to Harvard and walked around. Went into a stationery store for colorful envelopes, into Harvard Bookstore for dollar paperbacks, into the famous Coop, Harvard's other bookstore to look around, (that's a good store, and you know how much I love bookstores... haha) into Harvard's quad, watching the students play hacky sack (footbag), then tired as we were, decided to go home... not before I bought a cheap(er) fake harvard hoodie... sweet. Now that I think of it, i shoulda gave a dollar for one of the baked goods that the Harvard girls were selling in support of Kerry, or as they put it "to take back the white house". Oh well. After a long train ride home we headed to the mall for Mike's yu-gi-oh stuff... and some triversity cards for me (another scrabble like game, except played like rummy).
South Station Newspaper Stand
(the golden domed building atop of Beacon Hill is the State House)

Tired... oh my aching feet.
Okay gotta go. Lots of things on tv all happening at 10 tonight, we'll have to juggle it. Night night. Howdy to Angela and family...can't wait for pics... hint hint

Excellent Victuals? II
So Mike and I were walking around Boston, enjoying the sites and starving to death. A few days previous to his arrival I was feening for Chinese Food and looked up some good Chinese restaurants in Boston. After a few minutes of searching I found that P.F. Chang's was not only close to where we were gonna be, (a few blocks away) but ranked number two in two of the searches I went to for taster's choice of Chinese Food in Boston. This is a quote from our local station (WHDH) Channel 7, from their site, "Three cheers for our second place winner – PF Chang’s in Boston's Theater District. Have dinner, then catch a show. The restaurant's fun, lively atmosphere is an event all by itself."
This is from Best of Citysearch, "Best Chinese Food: 2002 Audience Winners" Voted P.F. Chang's number two. So I said "oh yeah, that's nice." We get in, are seated, mind you not an Asian soul in the place, (they have a site but I'd rather not promote it). Looks nice from the front and some good food smell. Seated, we glance at the menu and Mike suggests we get an appetizer of spare ribs, and he decided to try the sweet and sour chicken and I wanted the kung pao chicken (one of my favorites) and we also got some pork fried rice to share (all family style) for our entrees. First off we both order Sprites, and it comes back tasting like seltzer water without the lemon-lime sweetness. (Gross). I'm not the type to ask to bring it back for fear of drinking someone's spit next time, so I let it pass. When our spare ribs came it was good, but too hot. Then our foood came and though Mike's s&s chicken was okay, my kung pao wasn't spicy at all and it was too salty. Ew. And the pork fried rice? You know how you have pork fried rice and it has the reddish pork from spareribs in it? Ours had chopped up pork thrown into the rice, and it wasn't good at all. So an overall disappointing experience.
My last comment is that people in Boston must not know what they're talking about, concerning food. I could get really good chinese food in new york from my corner take-out joint! J.C.! And on our rounds about the city we passed a California Pizza kitchen, (something I wanted to try live since I've had their good frozen pizzas) and was sorry to say that since we had just eaten I couldn't try it. I haven't had good luck with restaurants around here. Once, Rich and I went to a Legal Seafood (based in Boston, and supposedly fresh seafood everyday) and came out disappointed (never again). For F's sake, this is Boston, we should have good, fresh seafood right? Wrong! Once I got take-out for us, from this place right by the water that everyone raves about, and as Rich was about to put a forkful of swordfish in his mouth he found a hook in it!! Imagine the consequences. No wonder everyone thinks I'm such a good cook, they have crappy food everywhere. Ugh. Boston, boo. Will write more on our trip later. As Rich says, "you shoulda left as soon as you saw that there were no asians running the place." and as dad say's "you should suggest to them that they change the name to 'P.U. Chang's".
Here's a pic, if you're ever in Boston. Keep away. P.S. It was too dark too. Ya know what that means...

Excellent Victuals?
I heard that Mickey D's will soon be offering happy meals for adults. I was so excited to hear it, until I found out that the "special toy" would be a pedometer or an article written by Oprah's Fitness Trainer. So I get nuggets and fries with that?, you ask... well not exactly. You get a nice salad and bottled water. Ooh, yippee. This resulted from being the target of a lot of the obesity lawsuits out. Sucks being an adult. They're also modifying the kid's meal so that instead of french fries and soda, your kids can get apple slices and juice. To read more here's CNN's article, here.
Oh speaking of becoming an adult... has anyone else noticed an attraction to VH1 or is it just me? Man, they got me with the I love the 80's and then I watched the "Best Week Ever" and I love it every week. Makes me say, "that was the best week ever!" Wasn't VH1 the parents' channel? I want my VH1.
Oh Mikey (I wonder if he dislikes being called Mikey) will be here soon. He's on a greyhound bus for boston as I type this. Poor fellow had to get up early and leave at 5:45. haha. I beat him though because I got up at four, fed the cats, played literati til 6, changed litters, jogged til 7:30, wrote a list for the store and now tippety-typing. I did much more than he did. I bet he's sleeping on the bus! We'll be spending the day in Boston. I will be posting pics up, no doubt, tomorrow. Hope we have a great day, or at the least a satisfactory one. Okay gotta run to the supermarket then play with the cats, cook, pick up Mike, blah blah blah. Have a great day everyone! It's supposed to be gorgeous today. Good thing I picked this day for him to come. Yay.
Soot's being a nuisance today, bothering the poor other cat, running up to him and swatting him and waiting til he's in the litter box to smack him in the face. I had to holler at her and chase her around.

A.I.
Sorry, it seems that when I'm busy writing and have submerged myself into words and things and such I can't seem to write about anything else. So I'll be shallow and write only about A.I. and nothing else in my life. A.I... First of all anyone who voted for J.P.L. needs to wake up. He's gotta funny Kermit the frog voice and his dancing is no longer hilarious, it's to the point where it's disgusting. If Latoya leaves before J.P.L. then I'm not watching that show anymore. I barely watch it anyway. I thought Jasmine did well, I think she's got a sweet voice. It's something nice to listen to. However, I really dislike her uber-Hawaii theme. I'm tired of the flower, which draws attention to her wide face, I'm tired of the of the "Shaka*", every reference is to Hawaii. Favorite movie? Lilo and Stitch. I saw it, I look like Lilo, it's still not my favorite movie. Oh man.
My mom watches A.I., strange I think. Anyway, mom got her hair done yesterday and sent me pics of herself. hmm, it's something to get used to. It's straightened. You know what's weird, is that when it was straightened it was much longer than she expected and then she had them trim it back to normal length. So now when it returns to regular kink, she's gonna have a 'fro. hmm. I'll see her in real life on Sunday so I'll be able to see it better. Camera Phone quality isn't good so I saw it but I'll save judgment until I see her. I wonder what dad thinks. haha okay gotta go. Later dudes.
*Shaka means: Great or excellent; "Cool!"; brilliant; having fun; good job. A hand signal originally made popular by surfers where you stick out the thumb and pinky and fold the other three fingers in; "Hang Loose!".

Is Jessica Simpson Illiterate?
Rainy and cold today. I dislike these kinds of days because I just want to curl up in bed and sleep the rest of the day. Mike might come this Saturday to spend some time with his Ate, under the guise of looking at a college, but I can see through it. haha. Yay if he comes and yay if he doesn't. We'll spend time gabbing on Literati. I'm so happy that Julie plays it too, haha. Just last night Mike and I were wondering if we could play against people we knew. That would be fun to be in a room for five with Julie and her mom and brother, me and Mike. "Hey Lumpia isn't an english word!" Maybe when the party for Angela and her family is up and everyone's there, we could all be playing Literati. Speaking of Angela, her uncle, (Aunty Tess' younger brother), I foget his name... use to play scrabble with his friends at parties and I'd look on but since they were a few years older than me I use to be too intimidated to play. I wanted to play along and I know I coulda kicked their butts but being a girl you couldn't do that... haha. Needless to say I use to watch from the other room.
I found out from Mike that Dad was good at scrabble, in his navy days, i think it's due to the fact that dad read and still reads, (newspapers mostly) whilst his friends were probably illiterate. Now mom against dad? Definitely dad. haha Mom's not a reader. Oh by the way!!!! I used the word "secured" then later in the game i had a "u" and "n" so i put "unsecured" on the board and they told me it wasn't a word!! come on. I became pertinacious* and almost refused to continue the game but finally i calmed down and continued on. Needless to say I won. I looked it up later and it is a word! ERRR. Imagine the points I woulda gotten.
Just had to get it out...i felt deeply gypped.
Also, about the poll, I chose the bread part because it wouldn't be a sandwich without it. I could put a cellphone between two buns and it would be, technically, though inedible, a sandwich. The definition of a sandwich is "1 a : two or more slices of bread or a split roll having a filling in between". Without the bread it would just be a hunk of meat. The earl of sandwich specifically created a ham sandwich by placing his hunk of ham onto slices of bread so he could play poker better without greasifying his hands. (This is according to sesame street, i think).
I'm gonna write a horror story about literati and how it swallows all the words you've used so that it is no longer in your data bank. Today I found myself stumbling for easy words! I swear it takes it in so that I cannot use it anymore. Good thing I know more words for those things you put on your feet than the one i lost today! Okay, watch A.I. tonight, Yay Jasmine and Latoya. haha Oh "hello" to Angela and family. If anyone sees them and has a blog make sure to take pics and post them so I can see. haha. Okay. Have a good night all!

Pop
I caught Janet Jackson onSNL last night (my late night due to playing Literati with Mike) and although I laughed at the "cork soaking" bit (which I thought would be more wine spitting... I was wrong), I didn't like the dancing and singing. At the second performance Rich mentioned that if she had to put on a whole production before she started singing then "you know the singing isn't going to be that good." I agreed and listed some people who do that (production -> sing badly), like Madonna, who would writhe around the floor (or tongue other girls) while she sang, and Britney Spears with the snake dancing etc. Note: the "production" is not for performance's sake to go along with the music, it's so you don't realize how bad the singing is, it's for distraction's sake. By the first song sounded like her "If" song. Oh, you caught me, yes I have her cd "Janet", that also has "Again" (song in Poetic Justice, remember? "Hold me, hold me, don't ever let me go") haha. I bought it sometime in 8th grade? Yes I enjoy a Madonna song once in a while. I have "La Isla Bonita" and like to listen to "This Used To Be My Playground" when its on, but the rest... eh. And of course I have Britney's "Hit Me One More Time". I dunno, you know they're bad singers, I saw the Britney diary on MTV and she started singing when she was in her room (someone else's song) and it was terrible, of course the people around her were like "ooh girl that sounds so good!" It's just bad. I don't even know the point of this post! Alright I'll end it here by saying Happy Easter! for those who celebrate it and Happy Sabbath for others and Happy Day for the rest!
P.S. Rich, I think my first win fueled the others and I just couldn't be stopped... I think I finally cooled down and was able to think with a level head. The first day I was a little flustered because I was new there and didn't know if there were any hidden agendas, now that I'm more comfortable I mean to win more often. I think I am beaten with a lot of games and things when I can't immerse myself in it over and over on a constant basis. If it's held, say, once a week, I'd probably never win because I will always feel as if it's a new experience... I need to feel comfortable. Even yesterday I was sweating but not as much as the day before. I actually used up all my tiles, twice! I had really good opponents too and my early games I had a cheerleader named Rich (actually more like KC's coach dad) "come on! what are you doing? You gotta get the triple word score!" instead of "yay! Michelle!" haha thanks, love you.

Hoppy Easter!!!

Scrabble
Found out I was terrible at scrabble...
Well i'm pretty good at scrabble just bad at Yahoo's "Literati". I think I'm lucky at the draw in scrabble because I always get really good tiles, but in Literati they draw it for you and they do it so fast you don't even realize you have more tiles. Also there's an added tension with having to play with someone you don't know and you have to be quick about it. Funny enough my second try at it my opponent was from the Bronx who went to Columbus High School. Isn't it a small world? I then got so depressed after losing that I went and lost some more to my brother. Go figure. I know I would be really good at it but I just need to loosen up. I sit here and sweat, trying to make words fit. Also it's not fair to use words like "es" and "ti" come on!! I can sorta understand "ti" (a drink with jam n bread) being a note and all but "es"? geez. I don't like to do it because I always feel like that's cheating but my first two opponents didn't seem to mind. I guess that's my problem, I shouldn't be afraid to come up with whatever word. Anything to score.
Well when we finally got to dinner last night, after my games... We committed a solecism*. We dipped our grubby hands into the Easter basket. oh lordy! It's supposed to be for Sunday, Rich and Michelle!! In my defense I only ate two, delicious pieces of candy! In Rich's defense, I sorta gave him the 'go ahead', but he wouldn't stop. I finally had to give him a look. haha. Well Easter's tomara and I hope you all have a very happy one! Okay gotta run all!! M-I-C, see you real soon H-E-L, look it's cause I love ya, L-L-L-L-E!
*Solecism means:
1 : an ungrammatical combination of words in a sentence; also : a minor blunder in speech
2 : something deviating from the proper, normal, or accepted order
*3 : a breach of etiquette or decorum

Biking
I didn't get to take pictures of the crocuses but maybe later in the week I will. Oh by the way, Good Friday to you all. Yesterday Rich and I went on our first annual opening bike ride to welcome the spring. Even though we went around noon it was still rather chilly having the wind blow against your face as we rode along, but we wore hoodies and I got Rich to wear gloves, though maybe I should have taken the advice myself, but I wanted to be the hero (as my mom would put it). Oh it was glorious! The foliage still have not come up so we could see other trails around us, and also deeper into the woods. In this way it was not as creepy as when it is blocked by leaves and brush. We saw a few people, one biker and one man sitting by the water with his dog. Oh for all of you not in the know, we bike at a state park, one of the larger ones of the area, and you can bike along for about an hour without turning back. Our goal was to bike to the boat dock but when we got there, there was a big suv right by the water, so we turned around and found another clearing by the water. I don't even understand how the SUV could have gotten in there, first the trail looked too narrow for it to pass by, second the gates should have been closed for any vehicle to come in and third, i don't think vehicles are allowed on the trails. Oh well.
We went down "dead telephone pole alley" and "pine tree alley" (i'll be posting pictures) but we never linger on any of the roads that lead to "that which shall not be named". Ooh just thinking about it gives me chills. There's a place in that park where it seemed no one went and which Rich and I happened to bike to one day (last year). It was eerie and confusing and totally sheltered with overgrown trees and vines. At one point the trees grew so thick overhead that it blocked the sun and we were travelling in a natural tunnel of trees, dark and foreboding. Then what's worse is there were strange signs written in chalk, on the ground...symbology that I care not to repeat here! We finally found our way out but we were flying as if the devil himself were after us. I think I may have had nightmares where we're stuck at a path and unsure of which one to choose when we heard some strange strangling sounds and a high pitched scream. We immediately got on our bikes and started out of there, but there was something wrong with my bike and I could only go very slowly...you know those nightmares...and I'm calling to Rich to wait for me but he's far ahead of me and getting farther. He finally disappears around a bend and the noise is right behind me...though I like going fast this dream reminds me that we bought cheap Wal-mart bikes which at any minute might just collapse beneath us.
Yeah so we had a nice bike ride yesterday. How will you be spending your Easter? I bought us tons of candy yesterday and packed it up in a nice basket...it's all ready for Easter! Make sure you don't get collywobbles* from eating too much candy. Be good and be safe! Gotta run for now!
*Collywobbles means: bellyache.

This is a little pond we pass by. That looks to be a bird house attached to the bottom of the tree.
One of the many long and lonesome trails.
This is the obviously named "Pine Alley".
These are the only leaves left on the trees and when the wind blows through them they hit one another and make a clacking, rustling sound.
We had stopped here because of the pond above, but behind us there was this rushing noise and turning around we saw these things spouting water from it.

Crocuses and Robins
Hello All! The other day, driving home I caught sight of the blue crocuses sprouting up in the local wildlife sanctuary. That is my sign that Spring is here. I love those blue crocuses. There's a house nearby that I always drive by during spring because their whole lawn is blue with crocuses. What a wonderful idea. I think I will do that to my lawn one day too. I knew spring was around because I saw a Robin Red Breast on our lawn a few weeks ago. It's orange chest was like this beacon of light during a really dreary, gloomy day. I will chance taking a picture of those blue crocuses but this town, though has nice flowers, is very paranoid. I read in the police log of our weekly journal that someone called the police because someone was "taking pictures". Come on!! That must have been me, remember those pics I took awhile ago of our New England Town? This is a very racist town too, (but really what town isn't racists in one way or another?). Whites only, and Rich whites only. God forbid. Ugh don't get me started...I was feeling good about spring. They must think I'm a mail order bride or a nanny or something when I traipse around town with Rich. haha. I use to even get attitude from the postal employee (he's retired now) but damn! you don't even live here! haha. okay deep breaths. Listening to Roger Miller singing "King of the Road". Howard's on break, probably because of the holiday Pasch*...Passover that is. Which was two days ago. Oh yeah I caught some Filipino women when I was waiting in line at the post office a couple of times and they had mixed kids...ooh! Watch out...we know how to integrate! Assimilate! Create! Update! Checkmate! Well we know how to look good enough to tempt your men. heh. Okay gotta run all.
*Pasch means:
*1 : Easter
2 : Passover
(it's pronounced pask...sound familiar?)
Have a great day all!

Okay so I like the show "Made" on MTV and I was deciding what I wanted to be "made" into. I thought a while and then finally came to the decision that I would like to be made into a surfer. I know in my heart of hearts I would be an awesome surfer. haha. I think my second choice would be an FBI sniper...cool. heehee. gotta run. Whoa I just caught Tamyra on A.I. and is it me or is she totally affected? What happened to her? It's fame!! Damn you fame! You make the nicest people into walking fakes! Well it's fame or vanity. I can give examples...

A.I.R. (A.I. Review)
First of all, Jasmine's was a great performance. Pitchy? I thought it was great, at points I thought that she might step over the "trying too hard" threshold but never did she put a foot out. Another thing, you okay Camille? What's with the outfit, the singing, and the dancing? She seemed to be trying to add a hip-hop style to "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road"...I guess it could go, but she didn't sing it that way. Another thing, what's with the bad dancing from everyone? I noticed that squatcing (squat dancing) since last week from Jennifer, and I was rolling around laughing, but it seemed to have affected George as well because he was trying it out, and of course he tried to pass it along to Seacrest. oy. One last thing, what I thought was funny was when Randy was telling one of them that he didn't like their performance and he says, "I thought it was just alright, dawg, it was very alright" Wha? haha. Oh dear, I've turned into a teeny bopper.
P.S. sorry Rich, I will read the article on ladder theories from http://www.intellectualwhores.com/masterladder.html so we're on the right step...haha pun intended. That's what you couldn't get on to Mike.
Night night all.

Go To Hell
If any of you are thinking about going to see "Hellboy", don't. We went to see it yesterday only because it had good reviews but, dear friends, do not step a foot into the door (don't waste yer moneh!). 2 Stars! (out of 4). It left some gaping holes in the plot, didn't focus enough on the dialogue, the sequencing felt wrong to me, tried to be sentimental but didn't "show" it, there was no connection with the characters at all, there was an array of silly characters that you think are invincible but are not, tried too hard to be funny and just all around weak. I was expecting a similarity to X-men but didn't even deliver on the powers category. ugh. Now that I reread what I wrote, 1 star!! Don't even see it when it's on t.v. for free. Do not see "Hellboy". Felt gypped*. It was hellebad. haha.
Okay gotta run. Have a good day y'all.
*Gypped means: cheated. Probably comes from the word "gypsy". (gyp can mean swindler, fraud...). Yes I know many of you know the meaning, it's just I've never seen it spelled out before. Now I know, and knowing is half the battle.

Whoops, forgot to put this up yesterday. This was taken a few days ago. It just captures how the rest of the week was; bare, cold, grey, begging for spring to spring. This was taken at a "park" (more like a parking lot) that we always pass by and we picked the coldest day to take a picture! Rich just cut his hair so he didn't have any protection for his little head...he did have a hoodie but man-like refused to wear it. So we hustled around the park and took this picture, and made a festinate* retreat. That water behind it is just a little harbor-lake created by the ocean. The line of trees behind it to the right is a dog park that we refuse to go to...because it's full of crap, literally. Behind the dog park you can make out some apartment buildings (3) in descending order and that's where a park that we used to run in lays. (lies?) We go there every so often, but we suspect it's where the army may keep secrets, beneath the hills and things, but that's all speculation, although there is this odd vent thing that sticks out above the hill, hidden by brush and trees. AND it's got a perfect view of anything coming into Boston harbor...shh. They may use it to spray chemicals at "enemies". Have a good day all!
*Festinate means: hasty

Whine, whine, whine,
If any of you ever get to dine at a really fancy restaurant where the waiter stays there and pulls your seat for you and applies your napkin to your lap, then you should ask the sommelier* what Chablis or Cabernet sauvignon or Sauvignon Blanc or Syrah would go well with the meal you just ordered. Then you can do your little dance by swirling it around your glass and smelling it and placing it in your mouth, and opening your nasal passage to it, because it's flavor is really smelled not tasted...blah blah blah. I prefer sitting around comfy and cozy, no one over my shoulder listening to my conversation. Oh try some desert wines as well. Alright I gotta run.
*Sommelier means: a waiter in a restaurant who has charge of wines and their service : a wine steward.
DOn't be embarrassed to call him over and say "the corking is all wrong! this wine is disgusting! return it and bring me another bottle!" although I wouldn't use the term "disgusting".

April Showers?
Hey don't forget to set your clocks forward tonight everyone.
Gosh we've been getting some very wet weather here. It rained for three days straight. I accidentally left Soot's old litter box outside when I went to clean it out and each day you could tell how much rain fell because it kept getting higher and higher. On the last day, though I shouldn't say last because it's grey and looking wet outside, it was at the brim and must have spilled over some. There are towns all around us with flooding problems. One town got as much as 9 inches of rain!! 9 inches! On the news they said that if it had been snow (1 inch of rain=10 inches of snow) some towns would have had snow as tall as Yao Ming out their front doors. Well instead of shoveling they're rowing. Some people had abandoned their cars in the middle of the street, some doors open, as a water covered their seats. Others thought that they could make it only to realize too late that the water was impassable, they sat inside and waited for fire rescue to come along with their inflatable raft. It was almost apocalyptic, streets desserted of life, the only movement was the surging water, flowing to find every spot it hadn't covered, cars left behind to be engulfed by the coming water, grey looming clouds unsatisfied with what it had just released, biding their time before the next downpour.
The grass seeds have been washed into the mulch, so that this spring...when we finally get to it, we will have grass covered mulch, just what we wanted. It was rather an inauspicious* time to throw down grass seeds. Oh well. On a cheerier note, I caught a few signs on green from my strawberry patch, the other day. Upon closer inspection I saw that they are coming out, little frilled leaves rising from the dead leaves and vines surrounding them. I'll be damned, they did make it through the winter. Hardy little buggers. Okay gotta run. Have a good, safe, flood free day everyone.
*Inauspicious means: Unfavorable.

Oh my God! You guys are never gonna believe this! Yesterday I went to the supermarket to pick up some fruit and I had a few dollars left so I went and bought 3 scratch tickets, these $2 ones called "Fire and Ice". So the first one I scratched I had a diamond which was $2 and I was like, "okay there's my money back on that one" and the second one I scratched and I had one diamond and I kept scratching and and every spot had a diamond on it!! THAT'S $20,000!!! I was in my car going, "no, no, no, NO!" I drove home and my hands were shaking and I had to keep humming to myself like I was nuts!
I decided that with this money I would buy a few more stunt kites, maybe a couple more cats, and a big rubber ball. Woohoo.
April Fools!
Happy April everyone! Haha. Be wight, I prithee.
Have a great day all!
Me.
Oh word of the day is: gadzookery.
Gadzookery means: Use of archaic words or expressions, e.g. wight (brave), prithee (I pray thee), ye (you, the).
