Bah!
For some reason Firefox takes me to blogger whenever I click my link or type in "hellegood". It's strange and annoying because my Mozilla takes me to my hellegood site with no issues. But so my life is bothered by little annoyances and I'm getting used to them.
Tomorrow is the "annual" community picnic held at the tennis courts, or rather "court". I like to pretend it's an annual event, although I've lived here less than a month and perhaps this event was only thought up this year. They needed to know how many people were to come from this household and I've heard that they're serving hamburgers and hotdogs. mm yum. We are supposed to bring a dessert item and we decided that we will bring cookies, purchased, not made.
It's fine, I'd love to go to the picnic had it not been for a certain incident that occurred yesterday during our daily daughter/mother-in-law walks. We were walking around the cul-de-sac (one of many in the "neighborhood") and found ourselves faced with sprinklers and so we hopped off the sidewalk and into the street when suddenly a voice came from behind us:
"EXCUSE ME?! WHY WERE YOU JUST WALKING AROUND HERE?" The screeching voice came from one of the houses, and we were faced by a larger lady, and she was pointing at her backyard. Linda said, "we didn't walk there, we were walking on the sidewalk and had to go onto the street to avoid the sprinklers" but she only continued to stare at us as if she didn't believe us. UGH. Give me a break lady.
We made a wide berth this morning and we saw her in her garage but we avoided the walkway and opted for the streets instead. I hope I don't see her tomorrow at the picnic. I had a few choice things to retort at her if I was vicious enough to have an attitude and speak it out loud but I'd just rather meekly walk the street than "her" sidewalk as if I had commited a crime by walking on the sidewalk. God forbid anyone be a little neighborly around here. Yep, we were enjoying our little romp on your luscious lawn, mmm, the green carpeting was worth sneaking into your tiny, gated side yard just so we could wipe our grimy feet upon it.
Get a life and F off.
Have a happy and joyful and unannoying Friday!
Me.

Here are a few pics... will add info later in the day.

Sooty helping us unpack our boxes... she's taking a quick break here.

Rainforest Cafe, located in the Disney Marketplace

This is a dragon/sea serpent made of all legos. This was from the lego store in the Disney Marketplace.

This is the lego family. Isn't it neat? They're lifesized.

A peek of the Epcot Golfball through the trees.

Behind Epcot France. See the Eiffel Tower? I see England, I see France...

View of the Disney Boardwalk. It's shorter than it seems.
Hope ya like 'em.
The best part?
It was all for free.

"I'll Have The Beef-o-roni"
My laptop is finally on the 'net... yay! Now I don't have to wander into the office and check to see if anyone is around before settling down to type a hasty blog. I can now type a hasty blog in the privacy of my own room.
I don't know if I should blog about my "Disney on a budget" plan or if I should just reminisce about our trip down from Massachusetts. I like to catalog all the journeys and such so that I don't forget them. That's the point of logs and journals. Learn from mistakes and such...
I've decided to reminisce because I'm not through with my travels for free around Disney, yet. Though I should just add, in case I forget, one should wear a polo shirt and have a cheerful disposition (and have your significant other wear same) to get a discount on purchases (they thought we worked at the park), such as food. haha. That's a trick we stumbled on accidentally.
Okee, the trip started out in Massachusetts, with me driving my car and Rich following me in his, down to NY. Note to self, Route 3 in Massachusetts is also known as the 93 and eventually the I-95. Oops. In addition, route 3 north to "Boston" will take you south to New York etc. So after that slight fiasco we travelled to New York and reached there around 4-ish? Hung out with Mom and Mike for a little then we received a call from his parents telling us that they were in Connecticut and after gassing up we drove, in the scary, fast-laned darkness of 287, to the Tappan Zee Bridge, to meet his parents at the Pallisades Mall. From there we drove a few exits down to the Garden State Parkway and decided that was all for the night. (It was 8:30 or so and we pulled at the first rest stop which was situated on the left side of the highway).
We were woken up around 4 in the morning, but we were already awake, and after a quick fuel-ing, we headed off, to drive New Jersey in full, in semi-darkness, listening to Wanda Sykes on tape and laughing through the fumes of stinky Jersey. We stopped a few hours later just before reaching the Delaware bridge, to walk, eat and admire the foggy haze that surrounded us at 6-ish in the morning, or was it 7? Note to self, it's not so fun to drive with the trucks, even after following a camper, because they like to go top speed and the RV can't go faster than that. We were driving in the "truck and car" lanes, rather than the "cars only" lanes.
We didn't even see a sign telling us we were out of Delaware, we just went over the bridge and it seems as if right after the bridge we were that quickly out of it and into Maryland. So in Maryland we just followed the camper and I think some place in Baltimore we went around the loop instead of following the I-95 then connected back into the 95 later down. We were still listening to comedy cds and laughing.
Sometime later we found that we had driven through Maryland into Virginia and we were listening to Brian Regan on cd and god, I swear we were swerving around the road because we were both convulsing from laughter. I couldn't see because I had started crying from laughing so hard and I could see Rich wiping at his face and I couldn't stop the streaming from my eyes. It's hard to drive while blinded and going around the curves and trying to wipe ones eyes at the same time. I told him to turn off the deadly cd and it was a good twenty minutes before we stopped laughing and found ourselves in the silence of our car, with only the rush of the traffic to listen to. It was sick. My stomach hurt soo bad, and once in a while we still got the giggles because we both knew how close we had come to being seriously hurt and injured. I now know what "laughing to death" means.
Later we tried to analyze why it was so bad, and how it had snuck up on us. We figured that we had been prepped from all the earlier comics we listened to, known as "fluffers" in the porn industry... forget it. And Brian Regan is the most funniest motherfukcin comic in the whole wide world. I back this up by saying, I had already heard this particular routine twice before and laughed my head off those other times as well, and I still thought it was funny the third time!
God, I started laughing just thinking about it and have to break here. Will continue tomorrow with the rest of the trip. Smell ya later.
Me.

I'm sick and tired of all this sunny, 80 degree weather, sunrise to sunset. I'm serious. Rich and I went to Downtown Disney's Marketplace yesterday and it was glaring, blaring sun and for some reason they're not fond of trees around here. Linda claims that many were taken in the hurricanes. I think Rich is a shade darker than he used to be and for those of you who've seen Rich prior to this, it's a great improvement. heehee. The marketplace was great and it took me one step closer to the theme parks. First park? I want to go to the Animal Kingdom and go on the safari.
Everything sucks ass here. The drivers are horrible. We've been honked, yelled at, cut and that's for going 25 miles an hour on a 25 miles an hour road, with those terrible flashing blinking speed things and the threat of a cop just around the corner. One guy left our lane to cross over the yellow line just so that he could be in front of us and we got next to him at the light anyway! ugh. Then the other day Rich's dad almost got into an accident because some guy cut him off, and his dad, being all macho, tried to do the same thing and the guy cut him and slammed the breaks in front of us and Rich blew his top and yelled at his dad and I was sitting there trembling.
The prices of food here is through the roof!! It's expensive to buy produce, which doesn't even look fresh and I can't believe that one can of beans, which was like 59 cents in Massachusetts, costs like 83 cents here! I know, it seems like too small a price to worry over, but that's just the small things. Imagine sugar being 2 bucks a bag when it was like a dollar up north. And everything is just as or more expensive than up north but they're paid less here! I don't get it.
Gas prices are high here too. We have to buy gas at this no name place just to save a couple of cents. Ughh.
Water here sucks. No poland spring, gotta drink zephyr hills which tastes sorta salty, and dasani is fine but it's not spring water, it's purified water. Our tap water smells like sewage water that had tons of chlorine poured into it.
No one waves when we go walking, unless Linda screams out "hello!" and then they do it begrudgingly. You'd think the nice weather makes happy people but I guess not.
I guess I'm a little homesick and maybe a few more months here will cure that, but I'm not looking forward to the humid days and 100 degree weather to come. I gotta find a job. At least Rich likes it... for now.
Okay, I'm gonna go make pizza now. See y'all soon.
Me.
P.S. I am currently reading a book called "The Kite Runner" and this morning, while reading it I started crying because of what happened in the book. It's just too much. I don't know if I can finish it, though it's a really good book. I hate when that happens.

I'm streaming Mike's radio show on the internet while I write this. Now everyone thinks I like heavy metal. heehee. No Weezer is not heavy metal. I like that new song "Beverly Hills" though.
Rich and I picked up some Krispy Kreme donuts today. So happee. We wont eat them til later though. Rich also promises that next week we'll go over to the Disney Village, which is a square where you can go shopping and eat, it's located by Disney but you don't need to pay to get in. I'm one step closer y'all.
I'm still in vacay mode so don't expect me to write anything good for a while. You can tell i'm not in the writing mood because I haven't placed any titles, clever or dumb, in the beginning of my posts. Yayaya. Besides it's my ibook that gives me the inspiration to write good posts and I can't write anything good on this cramped keyboard on another's laptop. boo.
Plans for today? We're going over to check out Rich's sister's new condo, then I'm gonna take a nap, shower, eat Krispy Kremes and sleep. Diet begins on Monday.
I don't wonder that old people go here to die, time goes by sooo slowly. I'm bored out of my wits and there are a lot of things to do. I'm just dragging along though. Gimme another month. By the way, when is Arlyne coming down to disney? Tell her to call me when they're down here so I can hang with her. Sweet. I'd like to see a familiar face. Hopefully my family can come sometime this year.
I gotta go do nothing. See y'all. Without my laptop I can't read all my favorite blogs because I can't remember everyone's addresses. Don't worry, I know all the addresses for the people who matter. But the funny blogs I read I can't remember. Which is funny because once I find one I can find the rest since they're all pretty much friends. blah blah blah. see yas

I noticed that my blog seems pretty sparse but for now you will have to deal with it since we are no longer with comcast and all my stored pics have been wiped out. I am also on a "communal" computer station as my laptop is not yet setup, nor is our room for that matter. I mean there's a bed and stuff in it but every few feet there is a moving box or the spilled contents of one. So I am here, checking emails, blogging, checking blogs, writing emails, etc. as fast as I can because we are on those "take a number" systems. Okay, I jest, but there are many people looking into using the two computers in this room and I gotta rush.
We have this neat-o tv system that has a dvr (sorta like tivo) and all this advanced recording pip, two tuner type deal. I was just happy I could catch the Amazing Race.
It's nice here, but strange, because we live in a very pristine, quiet, beautiful little community but as soon as you step out of it you're near trailer parks, gentlemens' clubs, psychics and bad housing. And this is all on the way to the mall, which is absolutely drop dead gorgeous. It's surrounded by palm trees and it's big and airy. I can't wait for you guys to come down and visit. heehee.
We haven't gone to Disney yet, though I try hard each and every day to beg and plead with the husband to get me there. Do you know that an annual pass costs $379 per person? And that's only to the four theme parks. We're waiting to change our licenses to prove we're Florida residents and get a discount on them. If Linda gets a job there we also get a discount. yay. We're all banking that she gets a job there. haha.
I gotta run. Oh by the way, we had some California Pizza Kitchen pizza the other day, and the food was delish. We also ate at the Cheesecake factory and Rich said that their "Linda's fudge cake" was good, and if he says that, then there's something to it because he's very hard to please when it comes to dessert. I had a dulce de leche caramel cheesecake which was good. So rich and creamy I couldn't finish it and I only had a third of a cheesesteak and no breakfast! I also told Rich that if I were ever to open a restaurant I would call it "Cheesesteak and Cheesecake Factory" and in the future, when it is a chain, it will just be known as "C&C Factory" haha.
See y'all soon.
Me.
P.S. The Floridian accent sounds funny.
PPS We have a neighbor from Georgia and we couldn't understand one thing he said. But it was a combination of accent and slurring from beer.

Make My Day
Hey, I just had some bacon, eggs and stir-fried veggies out on the lanai over looking the pool and lake, how was your morning so far? Suckahs.
Will write a much longer, considerably detailed blog later. For now, I'm going out to enjoy the 80 degree weather and perhaps stare at the lake through the palm trees swaying in the breeze. Love, ya, don't forget your sunscreen. Oh right, you don't need it. hahahahaha.
Me.
P.S. This is my new "Floridian Persona".
hahaha
